    Default TWG #3 suggestion thread!

    I'm running TWG #3, whee!

    Well, there's been two games so far. I've observed one, and played in the other. I've come up with a few ideas, and I'm curious as to what you guys and gals may have come up with.

    First, I want to reinstate the night phase.
    Second, I want to eliminate the roles of the bulletproof townie, the naive seer, the paranoid seer, the godfather wolf, and the psychic (instead of the psychic, the roles of the deceased will be announced by me).
    Third, I'm thinking of a smaller game, fewer people. (there were people who were pretty much isolated the whole game of TWG #2)

    Or, if you are up for something completely different, we can try a Death Note style game, though I'm still thinking of rules for that one.

    So, post your ideas, suggestions, approval, or disapproval of these, and I'll take a look at them!

    Mangaguy would kill you if you did the Death Note one... or are you two together on that? =P Great idea, though.

    I actually liked the ideas of insane seer and bulletproof townie, but if you don't want them, that's fine.

    However, I think the psychic is an essential role. It keeps the roles shrouded in mystery - if the wolves knew they killed a roled person, they can search out that person's friends for more roles (because they tend to group together). Also, the humans are never aware of how many wolves they've killed, which is also kind of a good thing.

    Not too sure about the night phase - how long would it be? I don't mind not having it because I think it makes the game a little faster and all. =P Keeps up the action. Still, the day could end at a more convenient time - maybe a little earlier in the day (9 pm here, say?) for the sake of everyone else involved.

    I would like fewer people. More commitment. Like... if you're given a townie role you still participate. We need people like that.

    It'd be cool if you can still make a 1:2 ratio of roles/non role people. =D

    Personally, I still hate having a night cause... well.. this game ended in a month =D YAYZ!

    i agree on frewer people also. if there are too many, it takes forever to kill off everyone, and people get bored and/or lazy.


    also, what exactly is this DeathNote style we are talking about? i've never heard of that.


    the night phase would be useful, because of time differences. also, wolves could get more time to discuss ... but as ive never been a wolf before im not quite sure about how much timeing and planning might be needed.

    A hidden wolf or two...i.e They don't get told their wolves unless the wolves try kill them
    Announcing the dead has pro's and con's DD but I'm against it cause the wolves would benefit more than Humans
    Nice ideas though

    we should elimate the useless roles alltogether. and, we should give the townies powers. i dont know what kind of powers, but weak ones.
    also, add a few new roles: such as the mercenary (another guardian type person)

    Actually, it is Mangaguy's idea, and if I implement it, he's my assistant, because that one will be fiendishly complicated to manage. (BTW, mangaguy, talk to me more about this, we need to start agreeing on roles/rules if there's this much interest in it)

    Ok, I think we may re-add the role of psychic, then. That's 2 people who want the psychic back, and no dissent on it yet.

    if everyone has powers, all they have to do is show the pm's... and the wolves are easily found on the first day... that won't work. As for the new roles... we could cut the masons in exchange, I guess.

    How about a berserker wolf? One who can kill ANYBODY, and only wins if they are the last one standing? and then a werewolf hunter who can kill one person a night just like the wolves, but wins with the townies? (we can also add the twist that after the 2nd time they kill, they have a 33% of becoming a wolf every time they kill after that) These are more ideas mangaguy has given me, and I'm interested to see how they would play out.

    beserker wolf is nice tho.

    I'm not sure if the game is in DN style, who should be mafia?
    Raito seems more of the Serial Killer/Berserker-Wolf or Vigilante/Werewolf-Hunter.

    I would say Raito, Misa, Takada, Mikami, etc. would be the antagonist side, and the police are the good side. As much of a lone wolf (*giggles*) as Raito is, he did have a team of people.

    I kinda like the idea of werewolf hunter and berserker wolf. Would the berserker be told who the other wolves are?
