Thread: about manga-torrents.

I recall there was some talk about adding additional torrent links with straight downloads. Might have been long time ago. Well, that would have been lots of work and not much help anyway.

I just wondered whether there is or is not any reason not to make some batch-torrents. Replacing some (most) straight downloads with torrents would certainly save bandwidth and the trouble caused by download managers not to mention how much it would ease efforts of downloaders.

I'm not suggesting adding every chapter it's torrent, but making torrents of every 50 or 100 chapters. It might even be better to have no more than 1 torrent for each manga. Larger the torrent less it would stress bandwidth of server. Small torrents would be no good, but larger torrents would likely start to live on their own.

I don't think it would require any rearranging of files or setting up own tracker.. It might collide with current download system though. Likely not much, but I wouldn't know.

Well, anyway, if this has been considered and abandoned then nothing more about it, but with all the struggle with many different servers and limited bandwidth I can see no reason not to..with only question of how it should be done.
