Thread: when to download

I'm not quite sure where this post fits in, so im dropping it here.

it has become next to impossible to dl except between the hours of 2-8 EST for me. At all other times, my connection speed blows, and the dls finish prematurely, and then I have to start over, and its hell... (i think there was an in-depth explanation about that in the FAQS).

so, im assuming this has something to do with the traffic, but i hope that eventually I'll be able to dl during the day again someday...

I dont know if this matters, but the above situation pretty much only happens to me on mirrors 2 and 3. mirror one has been incredibly fast.

Trust me, this is not a problem we are forgetting about.

The problem is we have too many downloaders and not enough servers, and in addition to that, we have a lot of people that like to use download managers.

Mirror 2 is being worked on right now with a new idea that might help.

We finished the script early in the afternoon yesterday. Its far better than what we have used before.

There are still some problems, if you know the direct link to the file on the mirrors you can still download (Lots of people were doing this).

We are working on a method of using access keys, each access key is only good for one day, which should work even better.

We are just testing on mirror 2 right now, soon we will use this on all mirrors.
