Thread: Can we ban Spanish?

This might come out a little offensively. I'm sorry.

At least in the Gantz forum, we are being inundated with posts written entirely in Spanish. This is simply unnacceptable. I recognize that several people here can speak Spanish fluently, some of them as a first language. However, this is no excuse for posting in a FOREIGN LANGUAGE on a message board written in ENGLISH. If you're going to post, post in English. I may speak Japanese, Latin, and French, but you don't see me posting in them. It is simply ridiculous to allow people to post in a language that only a minority of posters speaks.

Can a ban be placed upon the speaking of Spanish (or any other non-English language, for that matter) while posting on these boards? We can all speak English, but not all of us can speak Spanish. It makes no sense to allow it to be spoken here.

Oh.. come on, I know why did you do something lik this, sometimes it's makes us dizzy if we could see something but can't understand about that, Personally, I agree with you, but it could be better if we aren't just ban them all, how about give some words and some news or anouncements that speaking other than english in this forum is illegal, except using it on signature or in the Private messages

it is true that they must speak english rather than spanish but that wiil be an obstruction in the freedom of speech. we can ask the founder to create some rules prohibiting writing foreign language except english or we can create another room for foreign speaking people only

This is the internet, it's not the USA. Don't count on having freedom of anything. The staff on a forum have absolute power and we are but mere peons.

Not that I'm saying the staff here are power-hungry madmen, of course...

Anyways, i seriously don't think it's a problem. I'm really surprised that Gantz even has spanish fans...

Just ignore them. Or use babelfish =O

I do discourage having to post it though. They could just find a spanish forum. But seriously... you shouldn't be anal enough to ban it.

Listen posting in Spanish is rude for 99.99% of all members here, so please cooperate in this matter and just post in English so that everyone can be happy.

My first language is not English, but I still don't post in French because of that.

Back on topic however, I hated learning spanish in school, seeing those spanish threads brings back painfull memories, excuse me while i go and cry in the corner of my room.
Still its better than italian, I bloody hate those noisy b******s, there are some in the flat above me and sometime I just feel like murdering them.

I dont see anything wrong with posting in another language you can just as easily skip the post or thread, whats one or two spanish posts to bother you.
But all in all, wow people who speak spanish, in Gantz... thats new.

It's even worse now...People have started speaking French!

The thing is, we may be able to skip the posts, but it is still insanely inconsiderate.
