But all in all, wow people who speak spanish, in Gantz... thats new.

    Yo lo quiero aser tambien!
It's even worse now...People have started speaking French!

The thing is, we may be able to skip the posts, but it is still insanely inconsiderate.
that is true. but still. banning a language is too extreme.

Why? Why shouldn't we ban it? It doesn't seem extreme to me at all. Explain your reasoning.

It's extreme because it's discrimination. You could say that everyone is encouraged to speak in english or some sort, but it's unfair to say to someone "Since English is the most common language in this board, I'm banning all languages except for it."

It's not simply that's it's the most common language, it's that this is an ENGLISH SPEAKING SITE populated by PEOPLE WHO SPEAK ENGLISH. In case you hadn't noticed, it says "Don't fall victim to Tazmo's tricks, read about his scams today!" in English. The entire site is written in English, including the forum posts. It's not discrimination to ban the language, it's common sense.

Can't the mods just delete the posts typed in a language other than English? After all that time typing in another language and have it only to be deleted, it just discourages the practice. Banning languages is a bit extreme to me, we all come from different backgrounds and races and some may not be proficient at English, which is fine. It just seems a bit elitist at best.

How about a compromise? If you type in another language, you must include the English translation with the post, whether it be directly translated from babelfish or not. That way, everyone will be happy.

I agree with Eldo, banning outright is just wrong.

yeah, and since America is an english speaking country, you should ban (aka deport) everyone who speaks other languages, or maybe just delete what they say....

seriously now, i can undertand you being angry, i wouldnt like it either if someone went to one of my spanish forums and spoke in, say, japaneese or whatever language i cant understand at all. Still, i believe baning him outright is goin to far and, as already said, a tid-bit discriminative. I'd say (rather second, both ideas are already in this post) that people speaking in other languages should be told that they should speak in english as far as posible so that everyone understands. And if the community of a certain language (say spanish or french or whatever) is big enough, why not open a dedicated sub-forum to it? there, people who speaks spanish (for example) and maybe little or no english, could go and still have a place in this forum.

The Spaniards got their own STICKY thread where they are free to post in their own language without disturbing English speakers.
