Thread: Limiting Download/Bandwidth Ideas

Well an idea poped up in my head so i might as well create a thread so everyone can pitch in ideas (the one in announcements is locked)


Copy Rapidshare, you can try to program the script to dl just like rapidshare so you have to wait 30secs to dl the file with a limit of one dl at a time and if you dl a certain limit you wont be able to dl anymore till an hour has passed... by ip (yea rapidshare does that too, the Premium thing is up to you, as others said in the announcement fourm some people will buy an account and share it)

Or you can just upload the new files to rapidshare to take off the inital downloading frenzy before using the regular servers.

30 seconds is to easy to program into the autodlbots, i say make it a random number, that is if you actually like this idea

I dont... 1 dl at a time is cool, but 30 second wait or anything is just too annoying

We have something setup right now so you can't download more than 5 files per minute, but tomorrow we are going to get things configured a little better.
