Dates on updates?
Is it possible to get dates back on like it was on the old interface? Instead of a giant list of updates like it is now?
I'm talking about the one located here,
That would be most awesome. Especially if the date is listed between batches, rather than next to each file. Shifting the list over to links is a wonderful idea, but without dates/etc. it's very difficult to be sure you're actually up to date if you follow a lot of differant series.
Providing the latest updload list through an RSS feed would also be fairly awesome.
Tomorrow I will get the dates listed but we will have to list the date the file was added next to the file, as that is the easiest way.
Harder to read, but usable enough. New stuff at the top, I hope?
Also, is there any chance of having a new uploads RSS feed in the relatively near future? ST already has a couple feeds for the forums, so you've obviously got the back end to handle it.
Thanks, and keep up the awesome work.
Excellent -- this is useful as is.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
The dates have been added. We actually do have a latest manga feed for only the very last 10 updates though. The link is http://stoptazmo.com/rss-feed/latest-manga/
The RSS feed doesn't seem to be working right now.
Do you mean the last 10 files that were uploaded, or the last 10 batches of new files?
The RSS feed is working here. It only shows the latest 10 files that were updated. This is probably too few and should probably be changed.
There's something very strange about that feed... I've never seen anything like this.
I've given this some time, and poked and prodded it in various ways to try and see it working as described.
Instead, I've found that the exact same RSS link behaves radically differantly in every program I've got that is capable of parsing RSS feeds... None of them correctly.
1) When I use it in my main RSS reader, RSSOwl, it shows me a "dead link" icon, indicating that it can't find a feed at that URL.
2) If I enter it into the Opera address bar, it shows me a sample list of news items that do indeed seem to be indiviudal files, and lets me subscribe to the feed. The files listed are, however, not the 10 most recent files. They are instead 10 files from the end of alphabetical order (all starting with Z), the oldest one is Zoku_Shinshunki_Miman_Okotowari_v01_c01[Esthetique].zip (13/03/2009) the most recent is Download Zombie_Loan_c37[Twilight][Windfall][Eternal_Sorrow].zip (08/06/2009).
3) If I load it up in google reader, instead of a list of updates, I get a feed called "StopTazmo Manga Community!", consisting of posts from the forums.
That all said, yes, 10 files is probably not enough for it to be really useful. Maximum usefullness would be to include every file. Minimal would be just saying "new stuff today!" and letting us check manually.
