Seriously, skin this board. It's not hard, you've got plenty of talent here I assume.
Give it a theme (manga obviously) and change from the default look.
You'll attract way more forum goers if your site looks professional.

I really have not found a skin I like which is the problem.

We could try to create a custom made just for ST.
I'm sure people at Creative Works would be able to come up with something interesting.
