    Default Thread post restrictions...

I was just wondering how difficult it would be to put a 10 post minimum before being able to post threads?

We always see newbies messing up the rules by posting threads as their first post and I think putting a posting req will force some of them to get acquainted with our rules before posting something stupid as a thread. Also, some people who come into the forum just to advertise post up stupid threads in their initial posts to get the postcount needed to post links. This rule will minimize their damage to at least just a few spam posts in pre-existing threads.

I'd agree with this. Sure, I'd get n00bs spamming threads in Download Requests, but they should read the rules and know better anyway. I think this might be a good idea, and would minimize spam and even flaming of people who aren't really malicious, or even stupid, but haven't learned enough about the community and want to move too quickly.
