Thread: Bundle the chapter

One of the most annoying thing in stoptazmo is that we can only download one chapter at once. I think it is really good if stoptazmo bundle all of the chapter into one v\book. So when we are downloading, we download one book at once (for manga that have one complete book chapters), not one chapter.How about it?give your comments guys.

This has been in the works for a while, but backed up behind maintenance work done by volunteer labor. Be patient, grasshopper.

I did try this, but we ran out of space on our server and I could not get everything done. It looks like I am going to have to get upgrades done on our media server in the next month or so because we are almost out of space, but maybe then I can give things another shot.

hmm putting it into vols is pretty easy....but i guess it coudl take a while if you got a lot of files.....thus get a faster computer^^ lol

This would be an awesome idea, but needs some process to ensure that it doesn't take too much human intervention (zipping things up every so often). If the uncompressed directories followed a strict naming convention I could write a quick script to do it, but they don't, which means it might take some actual thinking, and I have too much stuff due to do actual thinking on anything else.

(Aren't I wonderful? Volunteering to fix the trivial problem if someone else fixes a much nastier one? )

Have you considered bundling the files as torrents and listing them here as well as a few other sites?

same here. i think it's an excellent idea...although its not easy

actually the resuming download feature for premium subscriber is redundant.
downloading chapter is quite fast.

however, it is different if the manga is bundled.

If the manga is bundled,

- more incentive for member to subscribe. free member can slowly download chapter by chapter but premium should be able to download in bundle as a perk.
- there is more reason to have the resume download support feature (for subscribers)

i will definitely consider to subscribe as paying member if there are bundle option. currently, i hate to download chapter by chapter...especially those with hundreds and hundreds of chapters....


Or... if diskspace is a problem....
you can do it this way... every time it reaches 20 chapters, release a bundle and then delete those 20 chapters.
dont think anyone is interested to download each chapter individually.

If it is a tedious job to bundle, i'm sure there are trusted volunteers such as mod will help you to do it.
