The thing with subforums is that they're not just for great manga, but for manga that inspire a lot of discussion. I haven't exactly seen many Hellsing conversations in Misc. Series, and while I'm sure it's a great manga, are people really going to talk about it?
Now Claymore, on the other hand... ^_^

I was actually referring to Detective Conan but w/e... i was just about to start reading Black Cat again too... I find it exceedingly hilarious that a forum with 190 posts has four moderators too...
Oh, okay. XD I was worried about Furuba for a minute, there... I don't read Conan, but it's getting traffic, isn't it? Unlike some other completed series, people don't even talk about Black Cat anymore.
190 posts?! That's not a lot... but a lot of the newer subforums aren't much bigger. It's not a big deal.
(D.Gray-Man has twice the amount of posts in Black Cat? And it's not a spammed section like PoT or School Rumble? Um, wow. And seeing how long Black Cat has been around...)
Black Cat was one of the origonals, I believe.
But yeah, seems like it's easier to just add more sub-boards than delete them.
Especially considering Kevin isn't very fond on deleting stuff. >_>
Yeah, I know. The fact that Black Cat is so old yet has so few posts... is funny.
I'm sure no subforums have to be DELETED, though. Maybe they could just be hidden from members instead, if seeing too many subforums is the objection. That way, things don't have to be deleted yet people don't see them.
With Black cat, there are so few posts, you might as well just move all the threads into misc.

Right now, I have the entirety of Series closed and hidden. I suppose we could make Series:Popular, Series:General, Series:New, and Series:Misc. or something like that. But doing that means that everytime we add new forum sections, we have to decide where to put some of the series from New either into General or Popular... and get Keven to do all the work of moving them. ><
Meh, I'll keep googling for a hack, but I don't think this idea is going to work. :\

You know what would probably work... that CSS localizer that Shautieh showed us before the 'remove categories' hack Kevin wrote was put in. I bet one could use that... but IE users would be screwed. XD
