Thread: Warnings or Alerts

I really think that there should be a warning or alert for Manga that is Adult-Rated. I know that one should research a Manga or at least know the plot before downloading it, but not everyone does that. I recently downloaded a manga called Futari Ecchi because I thought the name was interesting. I had never heard of it before so I was quite suprised when I opened it and it was a Hentai Manga. It would be really helpfull if there were warnings for downloaders.

Sorry, but I don't understand Japanese. Neither the word Futari or Ecchi tell me anything.

me neither but if you've watch anime or read manga for a while you know what ecchi means ^^

I'm wondering why you just decided to start reading a series without even knowing what its about. If you want to know what the content is, look it up before you start reading.

Before I started learning Japanese, I learned quickly what ecchi, hentai, yaoi, and yuri meant. >_<

For the longest time, I couldn't remember what the difference between yaoi and yuri was................. many unhappy mistakes. T_T

I also couldn't remember the difference between shoujo and shounen, was shoujo about girls and written for boys, or was it written girls and was about boys. Of course now its easy, since shounen is synonymous with beating the shit out of each other well past the point where a real human would be dead.

I always recommend looking something up before just getting it. Scanlations, fansubs, and second party hosting costs time and money. Bandwidth costs here are very very scary to most (I know it is to me), so try to make sure you really have an interest in a series before trying it out.
