actualy i might be wrong but i dont see any point in putting such a link...
if you use firefox or the new IE7 then you have tabbed browsing that allows you to open a new page in the same window. that means you just open the download page you need and keep the main one open...
if you dont like tabbed browsing or your browser doesnt support tabbed browsing then there still is the "back" button that allows you to go back to the previous page (which should usualy be the main page) and if you have one of those nice tech mouses then you dont even need to move the mouse but just press the back button on your mouse...
in other words IMHO i dont see any point in keeping that link.
PS: i've never even noticed/used such a link.
Sometimes for reasons I don't understand it opens in this tab instead of another tab (I use Opera)
Try holding the shift key when you click the link to the download page. That should just open it in a new window.
i wonder if Kane would let me or someone make a banner for the forums... =]
We removed most of the images to make the pages faster, and the images on the downloads pages were using a few hundreds gigs of bandwidth per month, so we removed them.Quote:
