    Default Advertising Trap

    hi...

well first of all, i dont mind the popups and the advertising on the site, that's because it helps out and sometimes donations aren't enough to pay the bills...

Having said this i still think that some advertisement shouldn't be shown when they represent an obvious trap or sometimes a fraud for the signup user...

<EDIT: i forgot to add that the location of this ad is in all the chapters download pages just above the manga update history>

Want to support us but you have no money?

You can signup for the following offers:

    1. Blinko Wizard - The Hottest Ringtones!

Instructions: Enter your cell phone # and confirm your PIN.

    2. Blinko Wizard - The Hottest Ringtones!

Instructions: Download the toolbar and screen saver.

    3. 15 Complimentary Ringtones

Instructions: Enter your cell phone # and confirm your PIN.

    i was realy surprised....
    isn't this ad a big flie-trap?

we all know that ringtones are not free but a paying service which sometimes can be pretty expensive. So saying that if you want to support and have no money isn't realy the best thing to say...

btw these below are the terms and conditions of one of these ring tones and they are written pretty small to avoid drawing too much attention to it

To make it simple, if it bothers you to take off the ad, then just change the part where it says:

Want to support us but you have no money?
    with something else like:

Want to support us but you dont have a credit card?
or anything else wich actualy warns the supporter that he's going to pay for his support.

PS: i first thought that the user was supposed to give off his personal mobile pin (which would have been a total fraud) but it would appear i was luckily wrong and it's just a pin they send you to your mobile to confirm that you are the owner of that mobile.

NB: when i refer myself about fallacious ads that shouldn't be displayed i am not refering to the pop-ups that link you to a fallacious ad nor to the plain links that connects you to the advertising page but i refer myself when this site/forum actualy writes about it like in this case and might be held reponsible for what it declared. (saying you dont have to use money to support).

    well that's all...
maybe you might not appreciate my comment and i might get banned for pointing this out but i realy wanted to let you know about this issue...
i hope this wont be the last post i make...

It's starting to sound like this is a bad idea, I decided to give the same thing narutocommunity/bleachcommunity tries a chance, since it worked for them. I checked the stats, no one has signed up for any of the offers I posted, so there is no harm done and I have removed the sponsors.
