Manga summary?
Hi
Haven't seen a question about it, so here i go
Some titles have a short description of the story, most of them do not. Does that mean it wont be any in the future? Since we have a lot of titles now available for download, and a good number of them are new...googling for each and every one is kinda time consuming
Ideas ppl?

You can also get descriptions from http://www.mangaupdates.com/ (comparing sometimes helps when they're, ah, repare coherency).

i was discussing on IRC actually the possibility of starting a usergroup on the site with the sole purpose of updating manga summaries here, personally i hate looking all over for lazy summaries of the manga and i find ironically that the summaries that ARE here are better than the ones on Baka-Updates and ANN... i hadnt brought this up to Kane but seeing this thread now i might as well... whadda ya think Kane? a usergroup of trustworthy members to update all the summaries and such of the manga?

its not my decision who would be in the group if it were formed. all im saying is it would be an interesting idea to bring before Kane as an alternative to the inconvenience of offsite summaries.

I think it's a good idea - people complain about it so much, but they can't do anything about it (so far). It's true; some sites have very bad or no descriptions at all, and it really makes a difference in choosing series.

lol i think it would only take like 5 to 7 people writing out descriptions to the mangas, Kane adds like 20 or so a week so its plenty of time and only one of them needs to know how to append the download page with the summary. chapter summaries are a bit much since some mangas have hundreds of chapters, so i figger this could be for the general manga description only. i would start with the mangas that are already complete tho.

Well, no one expects chapter summaries, do they? Some series have summaries on this site - in the summary section - and that seems good enough for me, and probably for most people. Chapter summaries also have the extreme Spoiler problem, which I doubt most people want, or want the opportunity to.
