Thread: Suggestion for Site tweak.

I was thinking that it would be good to change the time that the recently updated series stay green, say 3-4 days instead of 7.... this is because many series have weekly releases, so if they stay green for 7 days.. then their names will always be green, and it becomes impossible to tell if they have really been recently updated or not without individually clicking each series in question.

He's right about one thing tough, we really need something to tell us when there are new updates, I completely missed the latest chapter of One Piece, I had no idea it had been uploaded.

Another tweak that is suggested is keeping the color schemes-up-to-date. I know that someone else suggested that the green "updated" color be shortened to 3-4 days instead of a week, which may be for the best, but I have also run across one series that seems to be complete, "The Hating Girl," that remains black. If I am wrong about its completion, then please disregard this note, as I am just trying to help if I can.

Apart from the links staying green, blue and red, I think another issue that might be slightly more important is reviews. I know that in the past there was a thread where you could read a review or several of the same manga. But that thread was closed as I recall it. I remember that Kevin wanted to have the readers write a review of the manga and post it, but that idea seems to have been skipped as well.

I would really like to bring your attention to the "review" part because I think that updating manga for the sake of a handfull fans won't help the manga gain more readers, unless they're really bored and already past the, "I'm not going to start reading a manga that doesn't even have a review".

I searched for "mvp wa yuzurenai" and came up with squat, well, not true it was mentioned once! so how can you expect people to read this manga if you don't post a review of what it is about. You can probably find a review if you look around a bit, on another sites!

But people are lazy and they'd rather read an old manga they have on their computer than wanting to waste time downloading a manga they don't know what it's about.

Go to the scanlators site.

An interesting feature to add would be a button on a series page which reads somthing like: "Add Manga Review" and users can type their own, and then admins just have to OK it for it to be posted. And maybe the ability to give thumbs up/down to manga reviews.

I think that would be superb, but isn't the current system something like that already. except that there doesn't seem to be a mod assigned for that task.

The current systems allows only for individual chapter reviews, and i think some use the first ch. to write a whole manga review thou, but it definetely is a good idea to add a full review tool, and review rating would be nice as well.

Another Site tweak should be removing duplicates to preserve server memory I know the first 20 chapters of tenjou tenge are listed twice making forty chapters on the server rather than just twenty.
