Thread: Evil popups from this site

One of the popups from your site automatically installed (probably using some IE exploit... It said something about running .js files) several pieces of malware on my computer, and I've been trying to spend the past two hours getting rid of it (it even messed with Windows activation, and I had to reactivate it).

I can understand how hard it is for a site like this to keep up bandwidth costs, but, please, don't keep advertisers like this on your site.

...and please don't say, "Hay mang, just use Firefox lolz", or I'll rip your face off.

Deal with it. Get Firefox. And stop complaining. Otherwise, download your manga elsewhere.

Not everyone has the luxury of choosing their web browser. I'm not really trying to be hostile here, but I don't think you should just say, "Oh, we have a trojan on our site? Well, just don't use that browser."

Get better spyware protection. If you have a problem with a specific virus, you can report it in Help Section. ^_^

My point is that I trusted Stoptazmo to not have malware on its site, and it'd be nice if I could trust it again rather than having to go to some other place to download manga so I don't run the risk of getting infected again.

Use Firefox and stop bitching.

We don't. It's only some specific pop-ups which we are not completely responsible for.

Yeah, why can't you just download Firefox? Doesn't take that long to download and it isn't hard to install..

Then use Zone Alarm or something so that prorams have to ask to access the internet

Sometimes I like to download and read manga at school when I have time inbetween classes. They don't have Firefox installed there, and I doubt I have the privelages to do so. This did happen on my home computer, though, and I already had Firefox installed. I just prefer using Internet Explorer.

Zone Alarm would be worthless because it was through an Internet Explorer exploit, and not granting Internet Explorer access to the Internet would make it worthless.

I still find it alarming that you guys don't seem to care that your advertisers are using malicious code...
