Sometimes I like to download and read manga at school when I have time inbetween classes. They don't have Firefox installed there, and I doubt I have the privelages to do so. This did happen on my home computer, though, and I already had Firefox installed. I just prefer using Internet Explorer.

Zone Alarm would be worthless because it was through an Internet Explorer exploit, and not granting Internet Explorer access to the Internet would make it worthless.

I still find it alarming that you guys don't seem to care that your advertisers are using malicious code...
Now read the next quote carefully

If you give us the ad link that this malware came from something can be done, until then nothing can or will be done

Exclamation Same thing happened to me...

Yeah same thing happened to me, I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove all the stuff without reformatting my hardrive? I removed everything installed on my computer today and that seemed to help along with my spybot program. but I may be missing some of the programs. And in response to "we don't, it's just some of the advertisers," you guys obviously host the advertisers (they don't get to run ads for free) and decide to not monitor the situation too closely. I can't send you an adress because my computer basically crashes when the crap programs get installed. Also I'm sure if the moderators / owners looked into it they would be able to solve the problem now that they know it exists if they cared too. Well gl with the whole thing. chill.

So I've been clicking on about a hundred links since this morning and I didn't get any of the pop ups that you guys have been talking about. All I got was mostly Party Poker.
If you are so terrified of getting malware, why don't you just block all the ads altogether?
Use this hosts file to block most of them:

    Default thanks for the suggestion

do you simply cut and paste all of the adresses into a blocked list on one's browser or do you need a seperate program to use that list?

you guys need to stop whining so much and protect yourselves better. Programs like Spybot will stop anything from autoinstalling to your pc and will block bad products I have three spyware removers, two virus scanners, one malware detection program as well as a registry cleaner aside from hijack this. All are shareware by the way.
