Thread: Ya, fan art is nice... however..

OK yes the colored fan art is nice and all. great artist out there, amazing tallent far byond anything i can do, love to look at it and admire it..

....

however...

i'm on a dileup connection, that varies from 9.6% to 42.0%.. and my average speed for downloading... say a chapter of "bleach" 'was' about 30min.. not to bad...

but recently sence the fan artist have been loveing sending in their art, and its in the same zip file as the chapter itself, i've had a little problem..

see now instead of having a chapter in 30min i get it in about 1h15min...

this is a little bit of a problem for me seeing as this is the only phone line in the house, so i have to stay off it till about 10pm. and i can't stay up all night. believe me i've been trying for the past 4 nights, but i get up at 7am so about 3 is the best my body can handle...

so i was wondering if maybe instead of placeing the colored fan manga in the chapters itself, maybe have them in another zip file so i can download them seprate when i get more time???

It's a nice idea, but we will keep doing things like we have been. We will continue to upload the files exactly how we download them, with the exception of changing the file name.

I do have cable, but this will not change anything at all. We will continue to upload the zip files as we gather them and will not do anything more to them other than rename them. If you have a problem with the zip files being so large, contact the people who sub and translate the work.

It would be funny if Kane had dialup and upload all these mangas. XD

precisely. 96% of my friends have better than dsl (mine) and only 2% have dialup. its way too rare nowadays. Sorry Jade luv ya and all buh we cant simply change the entire format just for the minority. Plus if the majority enjoys it, it overrules ur suggession sorry

hello.. im new to the forum, but ive been downloading manga from this site and i have to say i appreciate the work whoever puts in, THUMBS UP!

i noticed there was no fanart section in the forums, and i would really like to share my artwork with you all.. =T

yes ive seen the colored works while downloading the chapters from different series, however i have a suggestion:

why not make a fanart section in the forums, but since you're having trouble because of the connection speed, you dont have to host the images? for example, deviant art hosts images for free and all you have to do is post links in the forums here. also i use artpad, and those are also just links which users can visit.

just an idea ^_^

okay nevermind. i just re-read the posts and found out we are not on the same topic.

but regardless, a fanart section in the forums would be nice ^_^
perhaps the users that send in colored pages can post them in deviant art, and link them in the fanarts section, which would save downloading on your part, and smaller file sizes. (unless the chapters you guys download already contain them, where moving the colored pages would require more work)

anyway still the same idea ^_^
