Thread: A small thought about the Download Requests section

I tend to read the Download Requests posts, and I notice sometimes people use alternate names for manga and others become confused. Japanese names sometimes differ from the English names and all...

I was thinking of creating a list of the various names used for some manga that aren't all that obvious - Karin and Kimi wa Petto both have completely different names in English that, if requested, might not be noticed.

It's a pretty small thing, but I know most threads of that sort don't really get noticed unless they're stickied. So to the mods of Download Requests: If I created such a list, and edited it with suggestions and all... would that be a good idea, or one not even worth considering?

I think that is a pretty good idea, if the mods sticky it ill help you out digital_eon.

Well, this list woudn't help if no one checked it. So, in addition to this list, the requesters should put the alternate name in parentheses or somthing.

Well, it could also help people replying. If they don't know what manga a person's talking about, they could check the list to see if it has an alternate name that they recognize.

Well, some people are lazy and if they don't recognize the name right away, they won't help the person. So I think the list would help the user with the request more the the helper.

I'm sure martyr or Jyuu will if you ask them.
