best chapter yet. Mashima is doing a great job.

Man I knew it.She couldn´t have died.So she is alive as nothing happened.I guess it´s enough that the other one there died (forgot his name...) - and I really hope he stays dead,or it´s gonna be lame^^ xD

By the way,the whole thing with Erza´s funeral was what she dreamt/imagined,right?But it´s a little awkward she imagined getting to be recognized as one of the 10 Great Mages....
I wonder what the next arc will be like....

Etherion is a take back to Rave Master, so I think that she saw the future where she died. Etherion was basicly "time" magic, but it was woven with a bit of everything, so that is why the concern when Natsu ate the Etherion's flame. Magic has always needed to have a user, in this case it was both Natsu and Erza's wills of not wanting her to die. I think the only reason the other guy apparently died was because neither of them saw him as "alive" so he wasn't spared (either that or they knew he was dead a head of time so didn't think of the possibility of him being alive).

When Natsu ate Etherion could it have unlocked something?

Halfway through the chapter I thought she would rematerialized somehow. But this was a good chapter. i wonder what would happen next.


Also doesn't Erza think to highly of herself. She did imagine that she would become one of the best 10 mages and also how did see know that two seats were free open when only those 8 mages new that the other two planned that all of this.

giving Erza a seat as one of the 10 Holy Mages is somewhat similar as to how the "Medal of Honor" is presented to fallen soldiers marked with valor.
