Default Eyeshield 21 ch333 - Ready Set Hut!

    http://www.onemanga.com/Eyeshield_21/333/01/

Finally, it's ended. While I felt that the mangaka hurt the manga by adding that last story arc with America vs. Japan, this manga is still one of my favorite mangas of all time. I'm a sucker for a good sports manga.

I won't spoil what happens in the last chapter but it definitely is worthy of the manga. I'm glad this did not turn out to be like the PoT fiasco.

    GOOD ENDING!

Great to see how it ended. It was realistic, and yet still left hope for the future as well. And I think the championship and MVP was well-awarded.

Plus, the new team configurations are awesome:
    College Teams:
Saikyoudai: Hiruma, Ikkyu, Banba, Jumonji, Agon, Yamato, Taka, Akaba (and Mamori)
Enma: Kurita, Unsui, Monta, Riku, Mizumachi, Koutarou, Sena (and Suzuna)
    Oujou: Shin, Sakuraba, Ootawara
    Shuuei Medical: Takami, Yukimitsu
    Zokuto Uni: Habashira

    Semi-Pro:
Takekura Construction: Mushashi, Gaou, Kid, Tetsuma, Kuroki, Toganou, Onihei

    Mangaka: Karin

I don't see the little pea tank Komutsubi and the idiot Taki anywhere, though... anyone spot them?

I would consider this ending to be the best for a sports-focused manga I've seen, even beating Slam Dunk's one (by a close margin). Vastly superior to PoT. Definitely worth collecting.

Slam Dunk will forever be my favorite sports manga of all time. The ending was sad but realistic in a way. It was very unfortunate that the manga was so rushed because I know there was still a lot of things that could have been done.

I'm a sucker for sports mangas that border between the line of reality and fiction. Eyeshield 21 found an interesting balance between the two whereas PoT was like DBZ infused sports. I know there are some good sports mangas out there but I wish they make a hockey one soon.

I'm torn between wanting a sequel and wanting this to end while it's still decent. The match up's they placed at the end is really interesting too, although I agree with sinoel: Saikyoudai is way overpowered...

I must say, I was quite impressed with the ending.
I'm expecting to see alot of new characters, especially some upperclassmen.

    spoiler:

just wanted to double check, with panther kun holding the trophy, that means the americans won, correct? b/c later on people were calling sena the strongest runner of the era as opposed to simply japan...so i found it a bit confusing

Perhaps Sena displayed some muscle play in the overtime.

I think the winner of the game is purposely left ambiguous because america would have probably won. Nice ending, but as appealing as a sequel may look it might also be too much.
