Actually I'd love to see gaou vs americans

can anyone come up with an ES21 all-star team ? might go through the chapters and do it myself later if i have time and not feeling tired

If they image Gaou as Godzilla, they'd probably put a guy like King Kong in the American team.

Shin, Monta, Taka, Yamato, Agon, Gaou, Kid, Sena, Musashi, Kurita, Perhaps those tow guys from poseidon,....don't know anymore..perhaps some new guys from kansai???
Actually how much player needed in football if all the players are switched between defense and offence?

Without having any players running both offense and defense, the ES21 Japan team might look something like:

Offense
QB: Kid/Hiruma (control tower, brilliant tactics, strong throwing arms, etc.)
HB: Sena (best runner in Japan, light speed, true Eyeshield 21)
FB: Akaba (blocking ability coupled with Sena's speed=unstoppability)
WR: Monta, Taka, Tetsuma, Sakuraba (catching power, jumping ability, route running, height)
TE: Agon (all around skills can be put to use here: blocking, throwing, receiving, running)
C: Kurita (number one power player)
G: Yamabushi, Banba (big, competent blockers)
T: Onihei, Juumonji (smaller, tough linemen)

Defense
DE: Mizumachi, Ootawara (ridiculous pass rush speed off the edges)
DT: Gaou, Heracles (Japan will likely win due to Gaou's sacking, obliteration, and subsequent hospitalization of Clifford D. Louis)
SLB: Yamato (invincible Caesar Charge blitz, ruler of 3 dimensions)
MLB: Shin (can cover the entire field at light speed, perfect player)
WLB: Kakei (nothing special compared to the others but another LB is needed)
CB: Ikkyu, Kisaragi (master of aerial combat and the ptera claw make for good shutdown corners)
FS: Riku (fast, fearless)
SS: Marco (smart, screw bite)

Special Teams
K: Musashi (has the kicking power needed to destroy the Americans guts)
P: Kotaro (he's cool)
KR/PR: Sena (no reason needed)

Of course there will probably be new elite players introduced from Kansai. But even without them, this is still an unbeatable team unless the American team has Super Saiyans playing for them. Which they probably will to make this game worthwhile.

You know, I'm wondering just how useful Kid's or Hiruma's skills will be as a quarterback in an all-star team like this. Quick-draw works best with the shotgun approach, but with a team like this, shotgun is not the only option available. And likewise, while I can see devilish tactics being slightly more useful - again, with a team like this... any play you call can be done. Hiruma's tactics were largely born of desperation, due to the weaknesses of his team. His lack of physical ability may cause him to suffer in comparison to other stronger quarterbacks. I can see him calling out plays and tactics from the bench like a coach, but he doesn't necessarily have to be the one executing them. In fact, Takami might be more interesting as a quarterback, because then he could also pull off the Everest Pass with Sakuraba.

But then again, that was the argument for Teikoku as well... they had Karin as quarterback because everyone else was so strong that any play would have worked. They didn't need a crazy scheming quarterback to win. So I guess Hiruma's tactics in addition to the all-star power of Team Japan would give it the edge that Teikoku didn't have. Plus I just want to see that crazy madman at work again. The true star of Eyeshield 21 is Hiruma.

the only specialty from hiruma is his pinpoint throw...devil laser bullet.other than that only trick plays.
I'd love to see him as a coach though...after all he was deimon's coach before doburoku came and every play is being taught from him

This was the best chapter of Eyeshield 21 EVER! Why? CROSS-DRESSING HIRUMA-MAID!

Seriously, I havent laughed at the series this hard since Hiruma commandeered that tank during the sports festival! I couldn't have been happier if it had been Mamori and Suzuna in French maid outfits! Well, maybe I could, but that's a totally different kind of happy.

On the more practical side, Morgan is the most offensive portrayal of a black man I've seen in manga for ages (to think of how much people complained about Killer Bee in Naruto! That was nothing!) This is kind of surprising, especially given the rather good portrayal of Panther way back in the NASA arc. Still, it's nice to see Panther back at least so it kind of balances out.

I had a feeling Agon would be showing up here. His presence should for some very tense team dynamics- because let's face it, there hasn't been any conflict within a team ever since the Hah Brothers started playing seriously (and that was AGES ago). Still, this team should be very interesting- and I DO so hope they get Kakei. I can't wait to see what would happen when he met Yamato again, especially since they're going back to America (which, in case you forgot, is where both of them made a name for themselves in the first place).

Agon would be an awesome addition to the team, he is the eptimone football player plus he would create drama on the team, there would be heaps of rivalries too

Hope they will add Ikkyu, the best cornerback from Kanto

My memory of the match between those two is a little hazy but isn't Agon a capable QB?

But truthfully I don't think there is anyone from the Kanto region that'll be a good QB for a team like this. Kid is more of a shotgun QB ala Texas Tech and Hawaii, teams that throw a lot. While Hiruma is a good tactician, he isn't physically good enough, the guy from Ouji isn't either. I think this is a good position to bring in a Kansai player.

RB is going to be a toss up between Sena, Yamato, and Agon.

FB-Akaba.

TE-either Akaba, Deimons, or a Kansai player

WR-Monta, Taka, Tetsuma, and Sakuraba

Kurita and Gaou on the line playing on both sides of the ball if they're not dumb.

LB-Shin and Kakei for sure, maybe Yamato depending on if the writer will want people playing both sides.

CB-Ikkyu and the Dinosaurs guy

Rover/SS-Marco

FS-Riku

I can't remember enough Linemens names to make up both lines except Kurita and Gaou. But that's what I think for the people that we know right now.
