hm, i can only guess there's an international tournament.
but geez, the mangaka does *not* know how to properly conclude a dramatic arc. it was the same with shinryuuji... it's kinda like, oh ok it's ended let's move onto the next thing.

I agree, as much as I liked this Game, the last 3 or so chapters were so anticlimactic in my opinion that it killed the excitement. I mean, i literally jumped out of my chair when Yukimetsu caught that ball earlier in the game, but when the kick went in i was just like, 'oh, ok, they blocked Yamato, alright...' and it was over...

Well, I called it. They won.
Seriously, once it was clear Musashi had to make a 60-yard kick, even the last percentage of doubt vanished- he simply COULD NOT fail. Overall it wasn't too bad, but you're right, the series just isn't as gripping as it used to be.
"Toward an even higher dream stage"...? Well, it COULD simply be an international tournament -that could be what Yamato meant when he said he'd be "fighting together with Sena-kun"- or it could just be an epilogue chapter of Sena and the rest grown up as pro football players. Although given the wording, I think I'm inclined more towards the former. After all, the only international team they've faced so far is NASA.
Not entirely sure whether I approve of spinning it out further, but what can you do?

The ending was indeed anti-climatic. However there are still some figures to be filled-in.
I think that hiruma'a father will be related to the following arcs. what you think?
that's true, we still haven't figured out what'sup with hiruma's father. but honestly, that's pretty much all there is - we've seen back-stories on pretty much everyone else. we've found out who the real ES21 is. sena *defeated* the real ES21 and claimed the title, which i thought was the entire point of the manga (along with getting to the christmas bowl).
which is why i don't approve of them spinning it out more either.
@Arcane Azmadi
i really hope it's the latter - an epilogue thing - but i doubt it.
it did say that the next issue will tackle a much bigger dream, so I guess that there are other chapters. Actually I'm quite anxious how much more senna would improve since I think he already reached his peak, so I guess about next time he'll be able to do the flash step? Or a freaking teleport...

My Waifu!
i thought this is the end...well they might dragged it out
Yeah, I think that an epilogue would be fine. They've achieved all they need to. I don't need to see a whole season without Hiruma.
Then again, I suppose one can view this as the end of the manga regardless of what they do with it hereafter.

I'm torn, I think that now would be a good place to end it, but the games are just so entertaining to read I would still read long after the story goes to crap, and still like it.
