Actually, I kind of liked this chapter. It was a bit worrying to think that the Teikoku Alexanders had only a few ace players, just like all the other teams, when supposedly they had poached from all over Kantou to get the best players. Here we finally see some of the other all-stars in the first-string. It would have been nice to have the finale be a showdown on a massive scale, though, with every player on the Devilbats having to face off against a great counterpart, instead of merely Sena, Monta and Hiruma against Yamato, Taka, and Karin. THAT would be a much better climax to the series than just the standard team-with-3-star-players we're getting at the moment. So far the best was Oujou, who managed to have 5 featured opponents - Takami, Sakuraba, Shin, Ikari and Ootawara. Even Shinryuuji only had 3 (and a half, if you count Yamabushi...). The rest were no better.
