[ES 21] Eyeshield 21 276 RAW/Translations/Scanlations Thread - MangaHelpers

22 is practically confirmed as the real Eyeshield 21. Gonna be about 5-10 chapters to the Christmas Bowl probably.

I know I said this before but I think it would be awesome if the last chapter was on Christmas.

pretty darn awesome. now we also know who their ace receiver is. one potential flaw in teikkoku might be team chemistry - if they keep rotating their players, they haven't had much chance to work together. deimon on the other hand have pretty much stuck with the same team since the tokyo tournament.

team deimon needs to get some subs. although they're good they'll eventualy get creamed by a well balanced team that can rotate their caharacters to keep them fresh

That so called 'ace eyeshield 21' of Teikoku just screwed himself and his team. He handed Sena and the others the thier teams playbook. Once Hiruma has that, Deimon will be on an even playing field with Teikoku.

Let's not forget, Deimon has already faced teams that rotate thier players between offense and defense and faced other well balanced teams. In fact, a well balanced team could be the best team for deimon to fight against

subs mean nothing in this shounen manga. teikkoku will stick with its best aces all the way through. remember how oujou was going to save sakuraba for offense ? that didn't go too well.

They themselves said that playbook doesn't matter. According to the manga it has over 1000 plays and almost every conceivable play in american football. Knowing that they probably also keep their trick/best plays hidden.

It could easily be made into a point of importance if the author chooses, though. Hiruma would more than likely be able to memorize it instantly, although who knows if it will be relevant to the game or not.

Strategy is relevent to everything. Whether it's a football game or a battle, if your opponent knows what your going to do you will have a hard time fighting back. And if Teikoku panics when they realize that all thier plays are useless, then they will be the ones hard pressed.

well Teikoku don't consider deimon as threat that why they give them the play book , probably to put up a fight , i mean they won every year for the past 15 and 9 of them against Shinryuuji naga which deimon find really hard time to win , so here what i think deimon probably going to but a good fight and sena going to beat the real ES21 and then they going to lose in the end by few piont diffrence

From an offensive standpoint, though, sometimes it doesn't mean a damn thing if the defense knows what's coming. It's especially true when the talent gap is as big as it's being portrayed so far. Teikoku could just keep it simple and run off-tackle all damn day and Deimon probably couldn't do a thing to stop them(if this was RL ball). Hell, that's what the Dinosaurs were doing all last game until Kurita finally sacked up.

In any case, Yamato told them it's got pretty much every play you can think of in there, so unless they telegraph the hell out of things via formation or snap-count or somesuch, it may only end up telling Deimon only that Teikoku can run any play they feel like.

Given only the information we have so far I doubt it'd be relevent, but again, the author can easily make it relevent if he wants to by adding some kind of flaw/oversight for Hiruma to exploit. One hasn't been made readily apparent yet though.
