I must say, this is probably my favorite chapter since the start of the Hakushuu match. Seems like the climax and conclusion are drawing near.

and i agree. we finally see a lot of the hakushuu back-story, and it's not only intriguing, but explains a lot - about teikokku, marco's relationship with the manager, how gaou got recruited, etc. though, i can't say i'm looking forward much to the next chapter where it'll - in all probability - be a kurita vs gaou (strength vs strength) match-up.

They are stronger than the Nagas obviously, they are undefeated at Christmas Bowl. If there is a "real" Eyeshield 21, he's probably on this team. I have a feeling that the Devils will make a comeback once they reach Christmas Bowl and then lose at the final moments. :O

well, shinryuuji was unbeaten and deimon beat them. since then, everyone received power-ups: sena with the devil stun-gun, monta with the devil back-fire, sena's new ability to play QB (which i could see hiruma capitalizing on).

in other words, i think we're in for another weakest-vs-strongest match, where deimon makes a last minute comeback

Well this chapter is great,I have to agree with ura on this,this is my favorite chapter since hakushuu vs deimon match.I never thought that marco would date a third year student....for that simple reason..nice one.
about that teikoku,they're probably full of monster since they can always beat shinryuuji....wow

I think so too. I noticed that the chapter described Teikoku to have a "western" theme when they said East v West. I might be reading too much into that, but I think that signifies that there will be players from the USA on Teikoku as well.

Isn't that directed as Kansai vs Kantou? Those are both in Japan, I doubt they'd put American players on a Japanese team. Also that there is a note on page 9 saying Marco was only speaking of Western Japan. Well, we never know. :3

^That's why I said I might be reading too much into it.

Man the way Teikoku has been crushing teams since 1980......their players must have some big foreign players. Or they all must train like Shin or something.
