The Prediction Thread

I think this section needs a generic thread like this so we can make longterm or large scale predictions and get get responses to the predictions we make about ES21.
I have 2 predictions right now: 1) The Kansai team that will participate in the Christmas Bowl is going to be Deigoku High School, the team that most of the aces from Bando transferred to earlier this year. The only reason for such a strategic move was so that they could make it to the Christmas bowl, which would be impossible (for them) with Shinryuuji in Kanto. 2) There will be a member on Deigoku HS's team that is somehow related to Honjou Masaru and is a catch expert who will be set up as superior to Monta and possibly the retired Honjou himself. I'm basing this off Honjou's warning during the final Deimon/Oujou match and his very role as an official within the Football league rather than a baseball league. I think the only reason for his role there would be a relation or some sort of tie to the football league already. Last edited by Urameshi-sama; 12-04-2007 at 01:56 PM. |

Yeah i was thinking about the first options but i really hope it isnt. If they had to transfer to another team just to get to the Christmas bowl then what does that say about the team? They cant win against Shinryuuji which deimon has already beaten?

Do you think Deimon would be the only team to improve in the interim since the last year?

nah eventhough they transferred that doesn't mean they will qualify for christmas bowl..We still know nothing about how strong other region is...and also I never read any lines in ES21 about shinryuuji being the strongest in WHOLE COUNTRY...but maybe I forgot it....

^That's what I mean. Shinryuuji is the strongest in Kantou, so maybe Bandou felt they would have a better shot in Kansai.
Edit: I changed my pronouns for clarification. Last edited by Urameshi-sama; 12-04-2007 at 01:55 PM. |

^I was referring to Shinryuuji. But Bandou was the runner up in the previous year with all the regulars before they transferred out. That means they were better than Oujou and Seibu already.
Also, the old bandou would still be in high school because everyone transferred out near the beginning of the current season. Akaba transferred back during the same season. That's why he wasn't allowed to play during the Bandou/Oujou match due to school transfer policies. |

Anyway, I hope prediction 2 is right. I wonder how strong a receiver can be if he is even better than Monta (who can catch passes without looking) or Ikkyu (who can run at high speed backwards and has high jumping power). If such a strong guy exists, then how strong will the real Eyeshield 21 be (since he is supposedly the best player)?? |
