    Default This is old but it amused me.

    So you know the topic of this is old, found it on a random google search for comedy manga. Since it's Eyeshield related thought I would post it up for a good chuckle.

    Honestly I find the whole arguement to be completely lame in every sense of the word. So what are your thoughts on this.

    (keep in mind this is just so there is some conversation going as lately things seem bland)

    There is a lot more racism in the manga then just that one panel... I mean the whole Nasa match was chock full of racism in almost all directions... You can't judge the whole manga and even whole companies just by one tiny panel...

    But I'll chose to let Encyclopedia Dramatica speak for me instead:

Hispanics are virtually non-exist in animu. IRL, Japs are just a very racist people but love everything Western, especially after their defeat in WWII. For some reason, in animu they seem to have a weird obssession with France. Of all the Western countries to be obessessed over, they choose FUCKING FRANCE.
    And a picture from the same article:

    Please don't take me seriously except for the first few sentences.

    ... i thought the entire point of the NASA match was to *counter* racism ? i can't believe that a simple caricature caused so much disturbance o_O;;

    yeah it was well shown that no one of the nasa team was racist but instead everyone cheered panther...

    as for the nasa's coach his motive for hate the black people it was clearly shown why he had that grudge.... my guess it's that grudge was only towards the black player not every black people since in the nfl they didn't gave him even a chance to prove himself......

    well in the end the coach realized what he was doing wrong and formed the nasa shuttle

    Sinoel that had to be one of the funniest things I have read all week.

    My feelings were more like echoblaze. Meaning that all racism in those chapters was acceptable considering the context it was put in for the Nasa team. Hell tbh I don't even see why that picture is offensive, now this might be because I turned on the "don'tgiveashit"(or the "I'mgoingtohavetocallbull") switch in my brain when it comes to racism and basically ignore most people who wrongfully pull it out
    BUT considering the page size and how little of an effect it would have had, had it just been a globe with a bunch of lines on it with star points, showing others laughing at it gave it that much more of an impact. Now I have drawn comics before and I know that when you have limited space you can't go into as much detail as you would like to, so if drawing someone comes into play a characature is the best you can pull.

    Besides it's not like they were eating watermelons and working in a field. Now if that had been the case, then I would understand.
