Question did any of you notice...???

i think what the mangaka has done is not actly copying other people's work, but as a tribute to his idols...well what am i actly talking about is the character deisgn..if you notice some or actly two characters(that i noticed) significantly hosokawa ikyu resembles Vegeta from dragonball series(i'm sure that akira toriyama is one of his idols)..and if any of you have read jojo bizarre adventure..you could see that ikari's punches and "Ora ora ora" resembles the hero of the series who uses similar technic..what do you guys think and have you notice any other characters that resembles any characters from other series???
(mind my english if it is bad,i'm still working on it;p)
I'm working but I still love to read mangas...Is it weird????

A lot of mangaka use references from others, why not? But it's nice to see such things in there 8D

there is certain limit to how many different ways you can draw a character. there has been hundreds of different anime/manga characters and some of them are bound to look the same or similar

hmmm.... i cant really argue about the Ikkyu thing, since the only way to confirm or deny is by asking the author himself.... but the whole Ikari thing is actually wrong.... "ora ora ora" is not really something he says, its more of a sound.... (at least from my own perception), kinda like (in the anime) when Yusuke is battling Toguro in the dark tournament...... also.. the technique he uses was also used by the golden star thingys in Rurouni Kenshin (the 4 dudes before Kenshin fought Eishi).... and the one that Sanosuke fought had the same technique (a little more refined) but yea.... and if my manga history is correct, i believe Rurouni Kenshin came first.... but im not sure, ill wikipedia it later

well.... its not so much "who did it first" its more of a "hey, i am an artist too, but i love your work, im going to draw one of my characters like yours"... its been done through out history.. (sorry, stupid Art History class)
