Their not really getting hyper recovery I think.
They should be checking footage of all of Ojo'sprevious games and ways to thwart their defense.
Even if they cant see the ballista.

    PS
If a high school team defeats a college team then the college team deserves to be kicked out the league.

They can do that and get hyper recovery at the same time. In fact, that's what they're doing. The reason Suzuna came by with the carriage was so that Monta and Sena would have to move as little as possible in order to aid their hyper recovery. And then they all went to the clubhouse to review the tapes.

Is Ballista an offensive play or a defensive one? The white knights are defense-minded ppl, but my guess is ballista (as the name might suggest) is not a D-play.....

    Its a defensive play probaly.
Suzana took Monta against his will.
Their is most likely no Hyper recovery from the SHinryuugi game.
If that was the case then they should have been better than Shinryuuji going up against teams like Kyoshhin,Seibu, and Bando.

I'll laugh if the Ballista turned out to be exactly what Sena and the others were thinking at the Naga vs Ojou game; Otawara flinging Shin towards the quarterback.

Thats what I thought to but thats retarded.
This is the one of the ew defensive formations we have gotten in the series since kyoshin.

Hmm.. Am I the only one who thinks that Balista is an offensive formations. Oujou's defense is strong enough without any addition, but if Balista is a strong offensive formations, then it will fit in, making the team perfect and unbeatable.

Also, during Shinryuji vs Oujou match, Shinryuji was in the lead when Shin requested the coach to use the Balista. If Balista is a defensive formation it wouldn't help much when trailing behind isn't it.

And I know author's purpose of showing this match between the White Knight vs Silver Knight thing. They want White Knight to beat Silver Knight so badly to show that Oujou is stronger than Shinryuji Naga. Remember last time Shinryuji Naga wins Oujou White Knight's golden prime (the whole team is now Silver Knight in college) by just 1 point. So if White Knight pwnz Silver Knight so badly then White Knight > Shinryuji, simple and clear.

not really. the finals game where nagas win by one point doesnt show that the oujou's golden generation was better than nagas. u have to remeber that kongo utsui and agon came in at fourth quater when the nagas were losing and these two completely turned the game around in that one quarter. In other words nagas > oujou's golden generation, but this game will allow to compare how strong oujou is compare to nagas.

I think this ballista formation has a possibility of being an offensive and defensive formation, but i highly doubt that. it's probably a defensive formation that is centered around ikari.

Yeah because SHin really wouldnt request an offensive play when their still on defense.
Plus Shin is a defensive player that mainly thinks about defense.
