actually its because after that match, they were too worn out to be in their best form to compete. that's why they let deimon compete as they do not want to lose.

nope its because deimon(away) had a draw/tie with sphinx(home). take a note on the brackets the sphinx is playing at their own school field n manage to get a draw thats why they consider themselves the losing team and let deimon to compete with the NASA ailens.

In all seriousness the game would've went into the overtime if not for two things Deimon humiliating Taiyou's defense & Shinryuuji playing Oujou in the Spring Tournament.

i have a question during this match. ur only suppose to be able to bump within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. so this guy doin the chariot bump was way pass 5 yards, plus is it just me or are there no refs and flags?

In the Anime (Fansub) they said in a sidenote that there are different rules in High-School football, which actually allows bumping outside the 5-yards.

It's not said in the story itself though.

The first ref I saw making a call was in the Deimon vs Seibu game though, but finally it's like coffee said: It's a manga, not serious

its a manga. the mangaka probably felt flags were unecessary or too tedious.
