Think the series will end after the Christmas Bowl?

It's quite obvious that the Devil Bats will win the tournement they're in right now and go on to the Christmas Bowl, but do you think the series will end after they lose/win the Christmas Bowl? Remember, their goal was to only *GO* to the Christmas Bowl, not exactly to win it. Once that goal is realized and the CB is over, do you think the series will end? Or do you think Sena and the rest of the players who don't graduate will continue the team and win future tournements? Maybe get a new goal to actually win the Christmas Bowl?

yes they will end the anime after they win christmas bowl.this is the final year in junior school for hirma and the ball guy or fat guy.

This may be the last year for those three, but Sena, Mamori, Monta, and all the rest will still be in school, and the series could continue. But that would be nearly pointless. The series will most likely end after the CB.

It may be pointless if the mangaka leaves the series in japan. If they were to join a japanese allstar team and take on the world then they could have a longer series, but that is unlikely. I think the series will end after the christmas bowl

hiruma,musashi,and kurita cant play next year.
Just like slam dunk, altho I'd really like that the mangaka will continue it, hell, deimon isnt the same without hiruma just like shohoku isnt the same with akagi.

That isnt the same. Akagi past the flame to sakuragi. Hiruma is the hands down leader of the team period. No one else could take the reins. Akagi left along with Mitsui and left the team in capable hands. I want to see Sakuragi and Rukawa become the teammates that they were suppoed to be.

Yah yah.
IN Slam Dunk, the funniest character was definitely Sakuragi, while Akagi was more like a supoorting cast. So, even if Akagi did leave, the author could have easily replaced him with like a weird freshman or somehting

But in ES21, i think everyone agrees that Hiruma is the BEST CHARACTER in that series, if not all of manga. He has the best character design, the best lines, the best personality, the best everything. So basically, if he leaves, ES21 will be so deflated, it really wont feel the same. ANd also, i really dont want to see Hiruma returning as like a coach or a mentor either. He may not be as good as many other QB's but he still pulls out a shitload of crazy plays, and his quote in ch 187 is priceless.
Yeah, all you people who read ch 187. I know I dont have to tell you guys what THAT quote is.

Looking back at this, this match reminds me a little of the last match in slam dunk.

i say that the only way that they could continue after the christmas bowl is if it skips a year and then they go to college football. after all yukimitsu,kurita,hiruma cant play after this year. mamori cant either but she doesnt play anyway. es21 is a great series. the only sports series i like and when you consider i hate football that saying something
