Though the names have differed a bit, due to different scanlation. It's a bit confusing, but readible nontheless, however the manga series is not finished.

...but...what is better...the manga o the serie?

The there isn't a difference when comparing the manga to the animated series in my opinion. The tv series sticks close to the manga, the racing scenes are marvelous, and with the music that is played during the race scenes are chosen perfectly. Other than that, the animation is top quality of the time, but again. The manga is still continuing, and each ep of the series takes sometime to be released but in the end. When it is released you will still like it. I have seen all of the tv series eps from the first stage to the recent fourth stage thats still in progress, plus I have read the manga. Again.... its your choice, there isn't any downfalls to both the manga and tv series.

ok...the music in the serie is excellent: running in the ninties...Deja Vu...Boom Boom Fire...etc
when i finish reading Gantz...Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist...i'll read Initial D.

Oh yah, also I forgot to tell you. Right now the fourth Stage of Initial D has finished and there will be a 5th stage that will be released. I did alittle "research" after the watching the fourth stage. Again the same reason, the manga is still in the works lol. Oh yah, this may sound off topic but, has anyone in this forum played the Initial D arcade stages 1 to 3. I am still trying to beat the third version. Alright last thing before I go, the manga in my opinion has well detailed drawings, each race will have details making you say, "DAMN!". LOL
