Thread: Looking for a manga series where the villians falls in love with the main girl

Are there any long manga series where the evil guy or antagonist is in love with the heroine, but has a hard time with obtaining her affections? After reading about Tsuki no Shippo and Ranmaru (he's an evil bishie who's apparently obsessively in love with the heroine), I really want to find as many mangas with this factor as possible as it makes any kind of story so much more interesting and intense, what with the heroine's rejection coupled with the antagonist's ruthlessness in having her -ooh, can be really passionate. So, any recs? Thanks!

Well, Skip Beat! is the first one that springs to mind, when the guy first dumps her, then regrets his actions when she begins to attract attention from his rivals. Also, Hot Blooded Woman has at least two bishies with a love/hate relationship with the main heroine who wants to fight them. NANA is a complex tangle of difficult relationships that can be painful to sort out. And don't forget the classic Hana Yori Dango, where the leader of the F4 elite bishies first bullies then falls in love with the plain, poor, common girl despite her violent objections and attraction to another guy. And School Rumble provides a comedic take on the whole love-polygon situation.

Other series include Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Akuma de Sourou, and possibly Kodocha.

I don't think Kodocha quite works. I mean, the love interest is initially the class bad-guy, but he's more rival than villain.

but it's great manga.. everybody should read it!

Definitely -- and the anime is even more cracktastically fun than the manga. But I still don't think it fits the request.
