I started reading this manga a long time ago it was historical and it was about a girl who was sold to a man. he was a general and soon after he went to war he got killed (but not really) and she sets out to find him, i think she was acting like a man at times, but she was a great dancer. i think it started with a h. if u read it please tell me thnx.
Not sure but I think u r looking for Seimaden, its the only one that comes to my mind.
Edit: Aiks, can't cancel the post sorry, it not that one.
Sounds like it belongs to the historical shoujo adventure genre.
Actually, it sounds like one of Hwang Mi-Ri's works, especially the cross-dressing part. Maybe Legend of Nereid?
Or maybe Kaze Hikaru, or one of these works? (I did a filtered search on MangaUpdates for Historical Shoujo Gender Bender)
I've read this one -- it's First Girl by Chiho SAITOU. The heroine is the Japanese daughter of a club dancer who's sold to the illegitimate son of the de facto ruling family of a small South American country, and right at the point where she falls in love with him, there's a coup, and a revolution, and a counter-coup, wiping out his family and sending her to New York to where she becomes a modern dance performer -- and so on. There's lots of (very hot) tango scenes, a handful of love-interests, handsome revolutionaries, missing people, disguised people (sometimes more than once), drug abuse, roses, perfume, and an overly faithful dog.
Typical Chiho Saitou when she's being crack, as opposed to (as with Utena) taking the crack herself. And pretty good, if you have a high tolerance for a certain kind of melodrama.
ETA: ST has the complete scanation.
i thank both of you for ur help first girl that was it
Sounds interesting. I'm going to check it out.
