hi, am looking for a manga that focuses more in every day stuff: You may say something similar to genshiken, yotsubato, etc. I think am gonna start with detroit metal city but am not quite sure.

My current favorites, after Yotsubato!, are:
Yokohama Kaikashi Kikou ("Yokohama Shopping Log") - after the gentle apocalypse slice-of-life
Aria (and its prequel Aqua) - gondoliering on Mars slice-of-life
Usagi Drop/Bunny Drop - raising your illegitimate orphaned aunt slice-of-life
Azumanga Daioh - doofball high-school friendship slice-of-life
Coffee Time - sit down for a cuppa with your slice-of-life
Undertow - grass widow with a bathhouse slice-of-life
Wa! - high-school love-heptagon slice-of-life
Sasameki Koto - yuri rom-com slice-of-life
Some of these are comedies, others are gentle dramas. Some have anime adaptations, but I don't recommend watching YKK's until after you've read the manga.
