forgotten name + recommendation

I always liked storys including secret organisations and such hunting/spying after protagonists as they are key to world domination/mysterious power (not original I admit).
In the past these were Nadia and Laputa, later SE Lain and Noir.
I want to know if you know some other exaples of this (don´t matter if soft or harsh).

The forgotten name is about one of this group I remember. It was an Anime about a bounty hunter(girl) protecting an jung witch (wasn´t that good but if someone knows the name, please tell me anyway)

no... it was more of a far less serious/good, noir clone, with the two female main charas fighting agains evildoers-after-witch-power (and there is no bounty hunter in WHR)

hmm - now that I think about it, I hope you didn´t want to say that WH isn´t that good? It´s very good! One of the best anime series I know.

i just though that you meant WHR and just didnt remember the story correctly
