Recently I found some very good original, realistic mangas. like Sketchbook, Minami-ke or Usagi Drop (last one greatly differs from the first two). now I am looking for other mangas going in these directions.
Anyone has recommendations for me?

Well, this thread is about works like Usagi Drop. In particular, you should look for Sahara's My Girl, as it has a very similar vibe. Not to mention, Yotsuba&! can be considered something like the intersection between Usagi Drop and Minami-ke.
For others like Sketchbook and Minami-ke in general, obviously Azumanga Daioh. Possibly Lucky Star and Potomayo. All three of those are slice-of-life comedies in four-panel format, all focused in one way or another on school life.
And just as an offbeat suggestion, possibly Nodame Cantabile. If pressed, I can't really defend it, but it's another with a similar vibe, though an entirely different sort of work. Maybe I'm just jumping from art school to music school.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
I can back up pseudorandom sugestion about Yotsuba, if you havent read it, its a must. Its looks at life from a different, yet very funny angle.
hmmm Yotsuba... neither here nor in onemanga... certainly not in german stores either. Well I hope I can find it somewhere.
Azumanga Daioh (and as I heard Lucky Star) is certainly two numbers more freaked out then Sketchbook and Minami-ke...
Well, thanks for your recommendations!
ps.
Sudden Single Fathers? reminds me on an unbelievable bad old "sitcom" with the olsen twins.

Please -- Full House doesn't even come close to the premise. Or quality. Or anything, yanno, good.
You can get the scans of Yotsuba&! at the link in my signature.![]()

^thx
Hmmm I like Usagi Drop better than My Girl, but it´s still not bad.
I prefer Usagi Drop over My Girl as well, but it's a close thing.

I just saw Yotsuba&! on mangafox... I prefer that offer as it is not necessary to download there.
It is very good! One of the best mangas I know (still Gunnm holds place 1).
