12 volumes complete
So in the past month, a few long-term manga scanlation projects have wrapped up -- first Mahoraba, then Love Monster, and now Good Morning Call, all of them about a dozen volumes long. All romantic comedy, of the sort that if you're not willing to accept the doofy premise, they won't do anything for you -- where the premise includes a sweet-natured but slightly dim protagonist. Okay, for Love Monster, very dim. Yes, even more so than Nao of Good Morning Call. In all three cases, I thought the ran slightly too long. Not that they should have ended sooner, but that a couple volumes around volume 8 should have been skipped -- at that point where the story's spinning off epsiodes that don't move the larger arc forward. The story in stasis part.
Thoughts? Any recommendations for stories that actually fill all of dozen-or-so volumes?
