The manga isn't inspired by the anime. Both projects started out at the same time. The story is different because My Hime was intended as a marketing device. Like beyblade. Only it's actually pretty good. Well, the anime anyway. The manga has too much fan service, and the way everyone is cool with going to a school that is constantly being used as a battle ground by Orphans and Himes is kinda stupid.

So Anime>manga.

Avoid the merchandise. Unless you want to collect female figurines with attachable lingerie. >.>

They started at the same time? Didn't know that. I just assumed that the manga started after the anime because anime news network listed it as adapted from anime.

Yeah. Manga Tate is better than Anime Tate. At least Manga Tate isn't an idiot like Anime Tate. Anime Tate is a helpless dolt.

Though you may root for Reito, I still think Tate and Mai will end the series. That is if the anime doesn't kill Tate. Afterall, it already killed Takumi.
