Hey guys, I'm new here and I was wondering if you could recommend a manga that I may enjoy.
I've read Ranma 1/2 and Love Hina, and have watched the Fruits Basket anime series, what's something similar to these?
Thanks a lot![]()

Hmm... so generally it seems romantic comedies are good for you.
Try the following series for starters:
- School Rumble (like Ranma 1/2)
- Love & Collage (like Love Hina)
- Mahoraba (like Fruits Basket)
- Ouran High School Host Club
- Maison Ikkoku
- Open Sesame
- Skip Beat!
- Rough
Those would serve as a good first introduction, I think, to the wide wide world of romantic comedies in manga/anime. Some are sweeter, some more action-packed, some are heavier on the romance, some put more emphasis on comedy... but all are excellent examples of their particular niches.

Manga Genre Focus: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life. Primarily shounen, then seinen and shoujo.

I second all of Dizzy's list (except Love & Collage) and add:
Yotsuba&!
Love Monster
Lovely Complex
High School Debut (aka Koukou Debut)
Which are all comedies, most of them romcom.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look at those ones![]()

Ooooh... harem? I haven't read one of those in ages. Maybe i'll check it too. Should i expect it to be simple and predictable like most of them? They are funny though... most of the time.
By the way, what's with pseudorandom and his suggesting Yotsuba all the time <.<?
Greetings earthlings.
Hmm... let's just say that unlike the majority of harem series, the key to the comedy in Love & Collage arises from the male character instead of the female ones. He's far far quirkier than most typical harem leads. (But apart from that, it's fairly predictable, yeah.)
Meh, pseudo's just a rabid fanboy of Yotsuba. But then again, how can anyone not love that cute six-year-old with her offbeat view of life?(Quite a few of the people in this forum usually have their own pet series: Digital_Eon with D-Grayman, pseudorandom with Yotsuba, coolerimmortal with Berserk, me with Adachi, Razor with Hunter x Hunter, etc. You'd learn to recognise everyone's favourites if you hang around long enough. :P)

You are right that Love & Collage, the male lead IS refreshingly different from the usual schlub. He's too much of a jerkass for me to like him, though.
(Rabid? Me? Perish the thought. I had my shots. Besides, Yotsuba's a good answer to almost any recommendation request. Almost.)

Give Living Game a try, I hear that some aspects of it are very similar to the author of Ranma 1/2's other famous series Urusei Yatsura.
It's about a 25 year old man called Fuwa working for a small company in Tokyo when due to an earthquake they are forced to move into his apartment bringing their new employee Izumi with them. Good characters and suprisingly witty.
Eh -- Living Game is much closer to Maison Ikkoku (also same author) than Urusei Yatsura. And even that's something of a stretch.
