A thread for pointers to recently added titles, especially if they aren't well-known. Include summaries.

Heptagon - A emotionally dead, 24-year-old woman is hit by a car and thrown back into her 14-year-old self, and starts to either remember (she thinks) or relive what made her the way she became. Given she remembers all her English from when she majored it in college, and uses it in her junior high class, it looks like she's reliving that time. Either way, the two chapters so far are excellent. I hope the scanlators release more soon.

Ayashi no Ceres is a shoujo, but a dark one - I'd recommend at least trying to read it; the romance is still typical of shoujo, and of Yuu Watase at that, but the story is definitely interesting and worth paying attention to. The way the legend is incorporated into the plot is really good, I thought. ^^

Host Club... that what I think it is? Because if so, it's better than the anime, and REALLY REALLY good. For a shoujo, it has no actual romance - it's light-hearted comedy and the main character is rather... unusual for a heroine. XD But a very good plot. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did when I first started to read it and now it's among my favourites.

Angel Sanctuary is about a boy, Setsuna, who is the reincarnation of a fallen angel, the story begins with Setsuna and his sister Sara falling in love with each other. Forces from Setsuna's previous life intrude on this and Sara ends up dying, causing Setsuna to wish for (and immediately cause) the destruction of the world. The story then focuses on Setsuna trying to resurrect Sara and return the world to how it was before. (Greatly simplified, and I only read ≈ 10 volumes, but it's really good, I need to catch up).

I agree Host Club is a good addition, the anime name being Ouran High School Host Club. Guess that was too long to add as a name. It is better than the anime but I do like the cartoon adaptation as it's better than most Shoujo manga to anime translations.

Oh and I finally get to read this Berserk that I may have heard about somewhere... >>

The manga is called Ouran Koukou Host Club, actually (the anime being based on it). I don't know why the scanlators chose to shorten the name as it's a direct translation in the licensed version, too (Ouran Highschool Host Club).

Honoka ni Purple - An early work by Saito Chiho (of Revolutionary Girl Utena). Yes, we've seen all these elements before: girl -- father remarries -- step-brother -- romantic tensions -- et cet. -- but this time, it's with that inimitable Saito Chiho touch. And as an example of 80s shoujo style, the art's pretty good.

Home - This is just bizarre. The year is 1614. He's the samurai guardsman to an envoy to Spain, betrayed and left for dead by the man he was protecting. She's the blonde daughter of a Spanish vintner who nursed him back to health. They fight crime! No, seriously. Well, they seek vengence on the brother who ordered his death, anyway. The mangaka has a very clean style, though her faces in profile are ... odd.
