    *Searches the list*

Eh...? They have Cromartie High School now? Yay! ^_^

I remember watching the Anime on youtube. It's about a gag manga with a bunch of highschool delinquents. It's sometimes referred to as the male-equivalent of Azumanga Daioh... or so I heard. XD

thanks pseudo and DS for plowing ahead with reviews =)

massive update indeed =O very grateful for some of the new series that showed up... much thanks !

i've heard of - and look forward to reading more of - Claymore, Confidential Confessions, Dragon Head, and Iono. Claymore and Iono have already been stated, so, from what i remember:

Confidential Confessions - nice artwork, and about serious teenage issues. i didn't get much chance to read it, but a bunch of my friends liked it

Dragon Head - a class of students are on a subway heading towards a trip, when suddenly, the subway crashes. the very few survivors try to make their way out of the wreck under some obvious heavy stress. only read around 4 chapters. looked very interesting

Oh, here's some to disrecommend: the Deep Love stories. Two parts sensationalism and one part vicious moralizing, salted with blatent manipulation. Avoid.

Digi: Our assessments of Ichigo Channel aren't that far off, actually.

    ETA: Another couple recommendations:

Girlfriend, which is kinda like the seinen big brother of Salad Days. Which is to say, a loosely connected anthology of school relationship stories. I prefer it to SD, in fact.

Global Garden is kinda like a sideways followup to Please Save My Earth -- only instead of aliens and reincarnation there's Einstein and immortality. Sorta. It's even better, at any rate.

ETA2: Oh oh oh! I only just noticed Gokinjo Monogatari (badly misspelled). This is by Ai Yazawa, of Nana, an earlier series that was sequelled with Paradise Kiss. Cracktastic school-and-daily-life series.

I heard Gunslinger Girl was pretty good so I'm gonna try that out.

Yes, Gunslinger Girl is pretty good. The anime's pretty cool too. Loli super assassins ftw!

Dragon Head is fairly decent as a shonen thriller, as is Drifting Classroom.

Crossover is done by the same mangaka as Suzuka, so if you like Seo's work then this one's for you.

Gyo is a pretty scary manga, possibly one of the best horror manga of all time.

Golden Boy is good if you liked GTO (and who doesn't?). It's humor is more adult-oriented though.

Eureka Seven is a rip-off of NGE, if I remember correctly.

Hellsing was good as an anime, but I haven't read the manga.

And lastly, Genshiken is a hilarious manga about a band of otaku and their exploits.

Oh hey, didn't see Genshiken! I read like the first volume of that and really enjoyed it. Yep, I'd reccomend that. I'll be reading the rest. If it's there

hayate the combat butler-comedy i think. it's about a boy whose parents have gambling debts and decides to sell him and his organs to the yukuza. he ends up running away and ends up saving an otaku, socially withdrawn rich girl who makes him her butler. some people don't think it is that funny.
ichigo mashimaro-the premise for this manga is that cute girls do cute things in cute ways. the artwork is cute and the manga doesn't follow a particular storyline.
furi kuri- a seemingly random manga, just like the anime. everyone seems to love it but still doesn't understand it at all.

Three recommendations for Genshiken, you have to go read it now. (Mine being the third)

Golden Boy is the one where the guy is going on a trip around Japan with a notebook that he writes everything in right? If it is I liked it early on, like the first 2 volumes, then it kind of gets wierd and creepy.

Bullet Tooth Tony: You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Reporter on Titan Maximum: Sasha is there any connection between your poor album sales and the fact that it sucked?

Eureka Seven is a rip-off of NGE, if I remember correctly.
If NGE means Neon Genesis Evangelion, then you remember incorrectly.
