IRC guide is pretty helpful. It worth trying, since lurk is an archive which has probably everything.

I'm looking for the same thing (vol. 7 of Genshiken), and I can't use IRC either. >_< Direct download is all that works for me. Can anyone pleeease help? I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sure obocarale would to. ;_;
