Why don't you look on eBay? you can find good book there with lower prizes.
depending on what genre u'd want.
Project Gutenberg has ebooks past copyrighted so they are free for u.
there's an ebook channel in IRC...
or just search for ebooks, i'm sure that they are many shops online for u
As cosmoslyn said, it depends on what types of books you are looking. If it's classic series you want, try here. :D
