I don't know about money. Most doujin artists make enough to print out the next chapter.

By drawing hentai, do you mean...Doujinshi? Doujinshi are fan-based-drawn comics, nothing, or atleast not most are drawn by the original creator of the series...So, money is being made, but not like compared to a Bleach manga, etc

Hentai-based anime is somewhat accepted in Japan, so of course people like anything with nudity, busty chicks, gay/lesbian characters, etc...Even better when its applied to anime...So, anything with anime is making mad money. I would assume Hentai is like a black market though...
