if your worrying about time-lines. think Ouran Host club. they defy time and seasons. How many autumns and spring had they gone through already? :D

The author doesn't want the year to change but I do agree. The series could have more variety if they do age. Conan will start to look more and more his older self once he grew.

i think it turned out it only worked once. After that he became "immune", he just got drunk.

yeh it only worked once but Ai developed a new drug which worked about 24 hours... but its still risky as she stated... =/ but i think its a bit strange since the author is really in to details of the deaths but not very detailed on the time line...

I thought Conan grew an year older since he first shrunk. It might be a translation error or my memory's just not that good, but I believe Conan stated he was six years old at first. In a much later chapter, his age became seven. >_>

I thought he was in elementary school. 6 year-olds goes to preschool =_=

I'd say that Shinichi/Conan is 21 yrs old by now and he's gonna turn 22 pretty soon may 4th I believe

Well, in some of the manga and anime series the time that passes in the serie is not important, because its more important the story than the time (exceptions are normally School Life mangas and animes, like School Rumble). Taking reference of manga (never take it from Anime, its a wise advice) i think that at least it passed 1-2 years. But the time in Meitantei Conan is not important, so i wont try to think a lot the answer of this.

Btw, your post shouldn't be here, Pink Candy. somebody created another thread (probably) about the end of Conan, so dont start to write in another threads asking this question. Thats another wise advice.

Yeah, I think it's a bit strange that time is not an important element of such a detailed manga as conan is.
maybe aoyama didn't want do get conan elder and let him grow because conan will more and more look like shinichi over the years. and anyhow, that would confuse ran all the more.
