whether it's a more 'visual' type of story, like Meitantei Conan, or a more complex story, like those written by the great Agatha Christie, mysteries will still be read. I do remember Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, and I've read quite a bit by Agatha Christie, but I think there are times when you just want to read something fun and mysterious ^_^

I like Agatha Christie as well, especially Murder in Mesopotamia and Black Coffee. I don't much care for Nancy Drew though, I think Detective Conan is way better.

i didn't like black coffee - maybe because it was an adaptation of a play. i haven't read murder in mesopotamia so i can't really comment on that. someday, i would like to watch Mousetrap, the longest running play (interest in most plays eventually fizzle out and they stop).
