Death Note timezones
So right, given my disinterest in the particular series/genre and the fact that I'd be a numbskull to participate in all those threads with the "____??!!" titles over the lackluster story that is Death Note's mid-late parts and the direction the story took after... say, mid-volume 3 or so, I haven't posted much in these here sections, but...
My ramblings aside, we know that when Light used his note/piece in Japan, it was "right on time" to the timezone he resided in, but what of the criminals he killed (residing) in other timezones? Did they die "right on time" to the notebook's location, or on theirs? We know this happened quite a lot as the FBI [s]Mr.baldiefriendofnears[/s] comments that the most criminals killed were in the States, but adhering to which timezone? Not that it matters a whole lot, but I just thought I'd contribute...
Well, I don't think it would really need a TimeZone. Personally I was running on the assumption that it killed the target at their local time relative to whatever timezone Light is in.
However, thinking about it, and noting how all the deaths are meant to be made to certain patterns and times when the net starts closing in, it doesn't seem very likely. Light would literally have to know every single timezone wouldn't he?
I guess they could have just run the whole manga on Light's local time?
